April 3rd, 2013 at St.Francis College a forum for Democratic mayoral candidates took place. The bias moderators never interrogated them as to the slated destruction of Cadman Plaza & Pacific St. Libraries because of their location on valuable Real Estate owned by the City; to be sold to the wealthy Condo developers. It will be a dismal hardship for thousands of needy people patronizing our precious Libraries. We will be forced to forfeit our lifeline to education, safe haven, diminishing the quality of life. Very sad the Greedy are inheriting the earth.

Duane Reade check out line. There’s only one person working.An elderly woman is in front of me. She buys 3 things a total of $17. She slowly unties the leather straps of her purse. Slowly reaches in for her wallet. Slowly takes out a 20 to give to the cashier. My things feel so heavy that my hands start shaking. I can hear the people in the long line behind me huffing and puffing. The cashier hands her back her change. The woman gets comfortable and leans over the counter as she slowly counts her change, twice
