On display now at the Brooklyn College Library is “Fold, Staple, Share: Highlights from the Brooklyn Zine Collection,” an exhibit featuring over 100 Brooklyn-made zines, ranging in style from comic book to manifesto.
“Making something with your hands is an important practice, especially in an age of screens,” Alycia Sellie, the media and cultural studies librarian, told the WSJ. “There’s something special about being handed a zine that’s been folded and stapled.”
The exhibit features only a selection of the library’s 600+ zine collection, and runs through November. Find out more about the exhibit here.
